Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon

Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon Water Park – You never knew a shipwreck could be so exciting!

Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon is one of two water parks providing guests a place to splash around and cool down. According to Disney legand, Typhoon Lagoon was created by a massive storm that launched surf boards into palm trees and tossed boats. Enjoy your day in a tropical island landscape, where perched atop a volcanic mountain, Mt. Maday, sits the Miss Tilly, a shrimp boat stranded in the storm.

There is something for everyone at Disney’s Typhoon Lagoon. Thrill seekers can experience 9 different waterslides, take a ride on a water coaster or catch a 6 foot wave in the Surf Pool. Typhoon Lagoon’s Surf Pool is twice the size of a football field and pumps out a fresh wave  every 90 seconds! If you’re seeking a little adventure you can snorkel in the Shark Reef with real sharks and vibrant fish. Looking to relax? Take a tube around the lazy river, Castaway Creek or relax on a lounge chair. Those with preschoolers and young kids will love Ketchakiddee Creek – an area set up with small scale slides, waterfalls, crawl tubes and many other wet activities geared to little ones.
