Magic Kingdom

Experience the magic and wonder of fairy tales and enjoy classic Disney attractions, characters and entertainment in Disney’s Magic Kingdom.

Magic Kingdom park was the first park built in Walt Disney World. It’s doors opened on October 1, 1971 and it has been bringing magic, wonder and joy to guests since it’s first day.

Cinderella Castle Close up
Centered at the middle of the park sits Cinderella Castle, the icon to Magic Kingdom park, and to me, Walt Disney World itself. The castle stands 189 feet tall and includes 18 towers. Surrounding the castle on Magic Kingdom’s 107 acres are paths that lead to the six unique and exciting lands:

  • Main Street, U.S.A
  • Adventureland
  • Frontierland
  • Liberty Square
  • New Fantasyland
  • Tomorrowland

Every person has their own favorite Walt Disney World park, but I personally don’t really feel that I have arrived at Walt Disney World until I have stepped into Magic Kingdom and seen Main Street, U.S.A stretched out in front of me leading straight to Cinderella Castle. The smells of the bakery and ice cream parlor, the medley of playing music, and the sound of the train whistling as it pulls into Main Street Station wrap me in happiness and the feeling of infinite possibility and fun.
